Flavouring Butter with our Millie's Gourmet Flavoured Salts

If you are planing an Easter meal with the family, these beautiful flavoured butters are not only great to have on hand but are really simple to make. It helps lift the simplest dishes or meats to another level with unique flavours and richness.

The below recipes are inspired by our flavoured butter salts that are included in the Millie's Butter Kit.

*Best prepared and store in the fridge a few days before hand. 

Millie's flavoured butters

Note: If you do not want to use baking paper, Millie's butter keeper is perfect for keeping butter at room temperature without it being oxidised so that butter can be kept soft and spreadable at all times.

Parmesan, smoked paprika and parsley butter 
250 g of butter 
¼ cup (32 g) of parmesan cheese 
1 tsp of fresh diced parsley
1 tsp Millie’s smoked paprika butter salt
1 tsp of ground paprika 

Instructions 
1.    Take butter out of the fridge for an hour to soften. 
2.    Beat butter with wooden spoon until it is soft and creamy. 
3.    Add parmesan, parsley, Millie’s smoked paprika butter salt and the ground paprika. 
4.    Combine well. 
5.    Tip the butter onto baking paper and roll it to form a sausage shape. 
6.    Twist the ends to seal baking paper. 
7.    Place in the fridge for an hour to set. 

Serving suggestions: perfect for spreading over corn on the cob, oven fries, roasted carrots and oven baked fish.
 
Lemon, garlic and parsley butter
250 g of butter
Zest of one lemon
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tsp of fresh diced parsley
1 tsp Millie’s garlic and parsley butter salt.

Instructions 
1.    Take butter out of the fridge for an hour to soften. 
2.    Beat butter with wooden spoon until it is soft and creamy. 
3.    Add lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley and Millie’s garlic & parsley butter salt. 
4.    Combine well. 
5.    Tip the butter onto baking paper and roll it to form a sausage shape. 
6.    Twist the ends to seal baking paper. 
7.    Place in the fridge for an hour to set. 

Serving suggestions: Add to season with a creamy texture on seafood, pasta dishes, corn on the cob, steamed vegetables and roasted meats.
